Short answer: As of July 2026, yes. The Walt Disney Company has a documented record of supporting Israel. After the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, Disney condemned the attacks and donated $2 million to Israeli humanitarian relief (including $1 million to Magen David Adom), with CEO Bob Iger issuing a statement of support. Disney also runs Disney+ directly in Israel and cast Israeli actress Gal Gadot in its 2025 Snow White film. Those ties are exactly why Disney appears on anti-Israel boycott lists: it is a target of the BDS campaign, not a participant in it.
What the record actually shows
The clearest, best-documented fact is the donation. On October 12, 2023, days after the Hamas attacks, Disney announced a $2 million gift to Israeli humanitarian relief: $1 million to Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical service, and $1 million to nonprofits focused on children. CEO Robert Iger said everyone "must do what we can to support the innocent people experiencing so much pain, violence, and uncertainty, particularly children." The donation was confirmed by Variety and other major trade outlets. That is a substantive, on-the-record act of support, not neutrality.
Disney also has a real, if modest, business presence in Israel. Disney+ launched directly to consumers in Israel on June 16, 2022, at a monthly price of NIS 39.90, per The Times of Israel, with subscription rates reported by Globes. That made Disney's flagship streaming service available in the Israeli market directly, not only through local broadcasters, and Disney content and consumer products circulate in Israel alongside it.
It is worth stating plainly what Disney does not have. There is no known major Disney R&D center, engineering hub, or regional headquarters in Israel, and no reputable record of Disney acquiring Israeli technology companies. Disney is absent from the standard published lists of multinationals that run Israeli R&D operations. So the accurate picture is a media and consumer-products footprint plus a one-time humanitarian donation, rather than deep operational investment. That is worth naming precisely, because it keeps the answer honest in both directions.
A third data point is casting. Disney cast Israeli actress Gal Gadot, a vocal supporter of Israel, as the Evil Queen in its live-action Snow White, released internationally on March 21, 2025. Disney stood by that casting through months of organized pressure, which brings us to the boycott question.
Where the boycott talk comes from
Search "Disney" and "boycott" together and you will find the company on lists. The direction, though, is the opposite of what a casual reader might assume. Disney is a target of anti-Israel boycotts because of its support for Israel, not a company that boycotts Israel.
In August 2024, after the first Snow White trailer, BDS and PACBI (the Palestinian cultural-boycott campaign) called for a boycott of the film and of Disney over Gadot's casting, citing her military service and public support for Israel, as reported by The Times of Israel and The Jerusalem Post. On November 30, 2024, the BDS movement's own Guide to BDS Boycott and Pressure listed Disney+ among its consumer boycott priority targets, a designation the movement's official site carries as well.
The pressure had a concrete effect. When Snow White reached theaters, Lebanon banned it outright because Gadot appears on the country's Israel boycott list, per AOL/AFP and The Jerusalem Post. In other words, the boycott energy around Disney flows from its Israeli ties, not from any hostility toward Israel on Disney's part. Anyone who spots Disney on a "boycott list" should read it as a sign of what Disney backed, not the reverse.
The bottom line
