Peter Oborne (born July 11, 1957) is a veteran British journalist, twice named Columnist of the Year at the British Press Awards, and former chief political commentator of The Daily Telegraph. Since leaving the Telegraph in 2015 over unrelated commercial concerns, he has written for Middle East Eye, Byline Times, and Declassified UK, outlets generally critical of British and Israeli government policy in the Middle East.
His public record on Israel runs in one direction: sustained, escalating criticism.
